On July 1, 2008, Catholic Social Services changed our name back to Catholic Charities, our original name. This change allows us to join efforts with Catholic Charities USA for national branding. However, all operations stay the same with all donations being used locally as they are intended.

    As a member agency of United Way organizations throughout Ohio, Catholic Charities works to identify community concerns and provide programs and services to address needs in the locations it serves.
    Catholic Charities of Springfield is a member of Catholic Charities USA. The national organization provides leadership, advocacy and technical assistance to 1,640 independent local agencies and organizations across the United States.
    Catholic Charities of Springfield is a partner agency to the Clark County Department of Jobs and Family Services through operation of the Work Experience Program and welfare reform.
    The Springfield Service Center of Catholic Charities is a member of the Feeding America Network. It is a network of more than 200 foodbanks and food rescue organizations nationwide that gets food to hungry children and families who need it most. Feeding America is the nation's largest non-governmental, domestic hunger relief organization.
    Our Springfield's Second Harvest Foodbank is also a member of the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks. Our foodbank receives fresh produce annually through the Ohio Food Purchase Program and the Ohio Agricultural Surplus Production Alliance.

    Annual Luncheon

    Catholic Charities' Annual Luncheon is held at the Springfield Country Club. Awards and recognition is given to key donors, organizations, staff, and associated agencies that contributed to our success in the previous year. This year, due to economic conditions, the Annual Luncheon has been postponed. The date of the luncheon is yet to be determined. Check back frequently for updates.
