"Donate2help"
It is important to note, no support is shared with other Catholic
Charities operations or the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. All donations are
used locally to support our efforts helping the needy in our three
county service area! Beyond food, donations represent our largest
form of support. This source
is critical to the individuals and families served
throughout Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties. As always,
our facility is always open for tours and inspection. Call and
arrange to bring a group at your convenience.
Supporting a favorite
charitable organization, like Catholic Charities, can take
many forms. An individual just needs to determine what form meets
his or her goals and desires. Making a charitable gift can be personally
rewarding, significantly impacting someone in need and provide a tax benefit to the donor.
Several forms of giving include:
-
Online Giving -
An easy way for
individuals to support
Catholic Charities. All gifts remain in their respective
service area of Clark, Champaign or Logan Counties. You may make your tax deductible
donation
below. A credit card receipt and
tax-deduction letter will be sent to you at the address
provided. For security,
NO CREDIT CARD DATA IS RETAINED, PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION!
- Annual Giving
-
An annual gift
or gifts of cash during the year can support the operation of our
agency. Gifts can be made year round beyond the planned mail solicitations.
Monthly giving helps us provide steady service without interruptions
to service due to funding concerns.
-
Capital Gifts
- If you prefer, a large one-time
capital gift can be made to help with
the renovation of our facilities or designated
to support one of our programs or service areas.
-
Appreciated Securities -
Donated securities may allow you to avoid or reduce capital gains
taxes and receive a federal income tax deduction. If you possess
bonds, mutual funds or stocks that have appreciated in value
but yield a low dividend you may find this an attractive option.
-
Planned Gifts -
You may wish to make provisions for a planned
gift to Catholic
Charities. Things to be considered
include the purpose of the gift, the asset you wish to use, timing
of the gift, income tax and estate tax planning. In all
cases it is recommended to consult with a financial
planner, attorney, accountant or other advisors.
- Legacy Gifts - A
family member, a special teacher or religious leader, almost anybody
who has made an impact on our life or the life of others can be
publicly recognized through a Legacy Gift.
-
Donate a Vehicle-
You can donate your used vehicle to Catholic
Charities
and receive a tax write off. It doesn't even have to be in
running condition, we will pick it up and dispose of it.
Operational vehicles are sold or given to needy families as the
donor requests. Any funds received support the operation and
are treated as a donation.
Meeting Your Goals-
There is a way to make a gift for every objective
you may have. Find out which is best for you. In almost every situation
you should consult with your advisor. It is also important to
update your will on a regular basis. Changes such as a birth, a
death, and/or marital change can quickly affect your will
and other documents. Tax law changes can also impact your situation.

Thank
you for your support!
To be better stewards, we have begun
quarterly recognition of donations in 2010 vs monthly. This save
postage and paper supplies vital to other program needs. If you would
like an immediate recognition letter, please request one at the time of
your donation. Remember: "Every dollar saved can feed
another meal to a family of four!" |
