Volunteer Opportunities
Most non-profits today rely on volunteer help to carry out their
mission. We cannot do it alone. We always have opportunities in our three
emergency food pantries, service on the Catholic Social Services
Advisory Board, the Second Harvest Foodbank, the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, special events such as Empty Bowls,
Annual Golf Outing,
Post Office Food Drive, the Christmas school and business food
drives, and other events.
The agency can accommodate individual volunteers and groups of up
to 40 people. Many businesses, schools, clubs, fraternal organizations
and church groups find volunteering at the foodbank a rewarding team
building experience. Volunteer sessions can be planned for weekdays,
some evenings and one Saturday a month. Please schedule group sessions
in advance by contacting Barb Eggers via email
barbe_spfldcss@hotmail.com or at (937)325-8715.
